Metering boundary

The point where a physical measurement — an emission reading, a reserve level, a sensor value — enters a digital record, and the party accountable for its accuracy. Every registry inherits the trust assumption made at this boundary, whether or not the architecture states it.

Common causes

Treating measurement as an upstream data-feed detail rather than a named part of the system’s trust model.
